Hello, hello!
I am the Shauna Hingston of Shauna Hingston Photography. I am the one and only person behind the business. I do it all from capturing your special memories, to editing the images, printing your memories and making them beautiful to deliver to you.
I'm a busy wife and mom just like many of you. Our family is full of creative humans and we enjoy a wide variety of activities from drawing to martial arts. You can often find me on a paddleboard or a hiking trail on my days off. If I'm not enjoying the outdoors I'm usually curled up with a book and a cup of tea by a fire or playing a board game with friends.
I started photography in 2009 as a way of capturing my own family's memories and very quickly became addicted to learning all that I could. In 2011, after my final child was born, I knew this was something I wanted to do for other families as well. Ten years later I'm still here but my mission has changed.
After a series of health issues myself and then losing my mom to cancer in her forties, I really began to understand how much a photo preserves. From the lost front teeth of childhood to shopping for a car with your own teenager, it's all apart of our unique, individual story. And only once these moments have passed do we realize how important those moments really were.
So, I started in 2011 with the simple goal of capturing your gorgeous family so you could share your images with friends and family. My goal in 2021 has evolved to capturing your family authentically as you are, so you can remember these ages and stages for many years to come. And with any luck, for a couple generations.

Photography
I specialize in family photography. To me family photography is a very inclusive term that covers all shapes and sizes. This includes couples young and old, families just starting out, single people, large families, foster families, extended families, families of teens, and everything in between.
